Kait Parker couldn't be more excited to be getting back to her southern roots. Kait was born and raised in Texas where she discovered her love of weather. During severe weather, Kait often went storm spotting with her father, where she became fascinated by nature's forces. At home she was often found on the front porch during any rain event, enjoying the energy of it all.
 
Kait followed her passion for weather all the way to Missouri where she earned a degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Missouri. There, she had the opportunity to teach a storm chasing class to university students as well as provide radio forecasts for a local radio station and work as a meteorologist for the local NBC affiliate. Kait also had to buy winter clothes for the first time, since her flip-flops weren't going to cut it in the snow! She furthered her experience with the number one station in Dallas/Ft.Worth through an internship where she learned by leaps and bounds. Kait also had the chance to study abroad in the Czech Republic where she had the time of her life.
 
Kait is excited to be in Alabama, where she has many relatives and her family has a long history. In her free time, Kait loves to spend time with her dog Brewsky. Brewsky became a part of Kait's family from the Montgomery Humane Society, where enjoys volunteering and being an adoption counselor. Kait can often be found in the local parks, enjoying some good bargain hunting, spending time with family and friends and of course enjoying whatever weather comes her way!
