Joy Lambert joined the CBS 8 News Team in April 2008 as a general assignment reporter and weekend anchor. She comes to Montgomery after working at KCWY-TV in Casper, Wyoming.

In Casper, Joy was the 5pm anchor, evening reporter and producer; she even filled in as the station's news director for more than three months.  While working there, Joy was honored with several exclusive and high profile interviews, including James Taylor and Lynne Cheney.

Before moving to Casper, Joy worked in Los Angeles at the top station in the market, KABC-TV.  She worked behind the scenes and helped in every aspect of news production, including celebrity interviews on the red carpet.

Joy graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2005, with her bachelor's degree in Communications, with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism.

As a true CSUF graduate, she is an avid baseball fan and now loves to cheer on the Montgomery Biscuits.

She is a California girl and is excited to be back in the warm weather.  Joy also loves movies, theater and anything to do with water. 

She is excited to be in Montgomery and experience all the South has to offer -- especially the food!
