Troy promotes Kyle George to Athletic Director
After being named the Interim AD following the departure of Brent Jones, Kyle George has officially been promoted to the role of Athletic Director.
The Auburn Tigers and the Troy Trojans will face each other in football for the first time ever.
Troy and Jacksonville State will meet in the 12th annual IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 8 p.m. (CT) at the historic Cramton Bowl in downtown Montgomery, Ala. The game will be televised on ESPN.
Troy was a three-touchdown underdog playing at JMU in the Sun Belt title game and kept things tight for most of the night.
Troy quarterback Goose Crowder threw three touchdown passes to lead the Trojans to a 28-18 victory over Southern Miss, which propels Troy to the Sun Belt Championship Game.
Goose Crowder was 27-of-43 passing for 361 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions to help Troy beat Georgia State 31-19.
The Trojans improve to 3-0 on the season after defeating 121-56. Leading Troy in their efforts was Thomas Dowd with 16 points.

Several Troy Football Players were joined by Head Coach Gerad Parker and Athletic Director Kyle George to give back to children in the Troy Community. With the help of the Lids Foundation and Shoes That Fit Organization, the Trojans were able to give away a pair of shoes and a hat to each child at Troy Elementary School.
Troy is now in a second place tie with Arkansas State, behind Southern Miss in the Sun Belt West Division.
The Troy Men’s & Women’s Basketball Teams get set to kickoff their seasons with the MAC Sun Belt Challenge against Kent State and Toledo.
